Ellips Diamond Jewellery
A working online store for a jewellery business, priced off the daily gold rate.
The problem
The client had a brochure site and needed a shop. Jewellery makes that harder than most retail: the price of every piece moves with the gold rate, stock is frequently one of a kind, and customers still expect checkout to feel like the big retailers.
What we built
We built a storefront for customers and an operations panel for the business. Prices are computed from current metal rates rather than stored as fixed numbers, so nothing goes stale overnight. Customers sign in with a code sent to their phone instead of inventing another password. Staff manage products, orders, coupons, and analytics without asking a developer for anything.
- Mobile OTP login, so customers never create a password
- Pricing engine that recalculates each piece from the current metal rate
- Admin panel covering inventory, orders, coupons, and sales analytics
- Razorpay and Stripe checkout with multi-currency support
- Wishlist, cart, and order tracking
My contribution
What I owned on the team
Full-stack work across the storefront, authentication, the pricing engine, payments, inventory workflows, and the admin side of the operation.
How it turned out
It's deployed on DigitalOcean and taking real orders. This is the project that taught me what production actually costs you: backups, edge cases, and a business that notices immediately when something breaks.
