The problem

Home automation usually gets taught as one large diagram. We wanted the opposite: ten separate systems, each doing one job properly, that could be combined later once each one was understood.

What we built

We built ten projects on the ESP32 DOIT DEVKIT V1. Each has its own firmware, wiring notes, and setup instructions, so any one of them can be built and tested on its own bench before it becomes part of something bigger.

  • Water-tank level monitoring with percentage readout and full/empty alerts
  • Online LED control, plus door, window, and parking-space monitoring
  • Soil moisture, temperature, and humidity for gardening and indoor comfort
  • Fire, gas, smoke, rain, and motion detection for safety and automation
  • RFID access feedback: LED pulse for an authorized card, buzzer for a rejected one
  • Repository organized into ten folders with code, schematics, wiring, and instructions

My contribution

What I owned on the team

Worked with the team on firmware, sensor wiring, and schematics across the builds, from environmental monitoring and remote control through to safety alerts and RFID access feedback.

How it turned out

Ten working builds that between them cover most of the sensors, actuators, and control patterns a connected home needs.
